Research and lobbying in Italy.

Without lobbying it would not have been possible: The end of finch hunting in Italy
Without lobbying it would not have been possible: The end of finch hunting in Italy

The Committee Against Bird Slaughter (CABS) has been working in Italy since the late 1970s. Over the decades, we have built up a network of associations, specialist authorities and political contacts with which we can accompany our concrete operations at nature conservation policy levels. The results of our bird protection camps are passed on to decisive bodies and at regular meetings with representatives of the authorities - especially those responsible for nature conservation and hunting, as well as the police - and politicians, we ensure that our concerns are heard.

In this way, over time, we have improved laws and regulations in Italy, ending imports of sparrows from Tunisia, as well as special derogations for hunting EU-protected species and catching birds in the "roccoli". With our information on the hot spots of poaching, the police plans their operations and our experts advise the authorities as experts.
