Huntable bird species in Spain

In Spain 36 bird species are huntable in accordance with the EU bird protection guidelines. In addition there are exceptional regulations in some regions permitting the trapping of song bird species with nets (see below). Almost all species huntable in Spain are migrants the populations of which are endangered in their home countries.
